Kane’s nationally ranked higher than anyone. Where’s David Key? Tyler Hunt? Didn’t Disilva beat Wilder at State? Good group of kids but not sure if you did your homework.October 11, 2018 at 10:12 am #10769
And Stonecheck….where’s Stonecheck? 2x State Champ and Cadet Freestyle AA (4th) at Fargo.October 11, 2018 at 2:46 pm #10770
Didn’t Eller beat Kane 16-9?October 11, 2018 at 3:35 pm #10771
Looks like a Woodland “homer” analysis. Only thing missing was blaming Camden, the lights, referees, or something else for coming up short. Woodland kids falls out of national ranking then the problem is XYZ or ABC. Get slapped at area duals the problem is XYZ or ABC. Upper weights are terrible then the problem is XYZ or ABC…..October 11, 2018 at 7:26 pm #10773
I would personally love hear the resume of anyone in the state that is comparable to K. Gollhofer, heavyhands.
3x State Champ
3x NHSCA AA
Jr. Duals All Tourney Team
I’ll wait patiently.
I won’t speak on my kid. 🙂

Not a Woodland homer just smart enough to recognize that they have some pretty talented kids. Who is that you are challenging that I ranked?
1) Kyle is the CLEAR #1 guy. I won’t waste a key stroke debating that
2) McCrary IMO is #2. He has the credentials to warrant this spot unless you can tell me a kid that has this on his resume:
State Champ as a freshman- Beat Ashton (Stanford commit) 3X including the finals
2nd at NHSCA Freshman Nationals
4X UWW All- American
2X Fargo Champ……. you were syaing????
Jaxson Smith- was injured this past year or he would be a Freshman State Champ too. You see how good he is when healthy (Fargo All American). This kid has won every major tournament there is in youth/ms wrestling.October 12, 2018 at 5:37 pm #10778
Rankings??? Cause yeah Flo does a good job with their rankings. Kane is a stud, that’s why I have him ranked at #6. Who do you think he belongs ahead over? Have you seen Jaxson and Mannella wrestle? P4P both can flat out wrestle and both are major D1 prospects IMO.
Now to answer your other question about Hunt, Key, DeSilva and Stonecheck. Again, who would you rank them over? If I was doing a P4P top 15- all 4 would make the list.
As for homework.. I have done mine. Have you done yours? I have every state and national tournament placement for every kid that I ranked? What are you basing your decision on? Freestyle? I took FS into consideration but since these were folkstyle rankings, I weighted the folkstyle tournaments more.
Hunt placed at Super 32 but did not place at NHSCA’s. I ranked him #3 Senior but don’t feel he is top 10 P4P.
Key has a runner-up Fargo finish. Nothing I can find for folkstyle national results
Stonecheck- 3rd Place at freshman nationals and a fargo freestyle placement is impressive. Love the kids. Love how he wrestles but he is not in the top 10 IMO.
DeSilva- 3rd at NHSCA. Love the kid bu IMO he is not a top 10 guy.
Watkins and Masters have better National criteria than a couple of the kids that I have ranked in the top 10 P4P but when I compare them to the others, I cant in my head say “If they were the same weight as ____, I think they would win”.
We have about 25 kids that are very, very good. The fact that we can even debate this topic shows how much GA wrestling has changed!October 15, 2018 at 10:35 pm #10780
Great off counters as long as it can go to the right side. Great at milking a lead especially when he has a stall to give. Square stance. Way, way, way too defensive. Has to break out of square stance to attack which results in telegraphing moves. Paws with left hand. No setting up, hand fighting or attacking with left hand to left side at all. So defensive that can’t chase down points late against like opponents; look at record in major tournaments when he drops down to consolation side-folds the tent and phones home.October 15, 2018 at 11:58 pm #10781

You’re a piece of work, man.
Are you really gonna come in here and talk shit about a kid?
Let’s just hope your bias doesn’t affect your ability to officiate matches fairly.October 16, 2018 at 12:14 am #10784
Seriously, do you think it appropriate for a GHSA official to talk shit about a team and a kid?
