The Georgia National Wrestling Alliance

The Georgia National Wrestling Alliance (GNWA) is a non-profit organization formed to aid in the organization, assembly, coaching and travel of wrestlers grades Kindergarten through twelfth to national tournaments at an affordable cost. This organization was founded and based on a desire to assist in the growth of the sport of wrestling in Georgia without affiliation to specific associations (USA Wrestling, NHSCA, AAU ect.). The goal of GNWA is increase national recognition of Georgia wrestling by presenting wrestlers with the opportunity to compete in national tournaments, prepare the wrestlers for the competition, and provide travel to these higher tier competitions within affordable means.

The GNWA is a 100% not-for-profit foundation dedicated to making a difference in Georgia wrestling and willing to go the extra mile to bring its mission to fruition. The organization is not positioned as a competitor or rival to any current Georgia or national organization, but rather a supplemental entity that can combine efforts with existing organizations to further the great sport of wrestling. It will take a constant effort on the wrestling community as a whole to make it happen.

The GNWA will operate solely on corporate sponsorship, donations and the time and effort of those involved. Eventually, fully paid trips to individuals, and hopefully entire groups, will be available if these efforts are supported. GWNA understands the development should begin at an early age and will work to assemble as many youth teams as possible to attend national tournaments. Athletes that accomplish success at such a high level of competition can attract college scouting and even achieve athletic scholarships.

The organization is not just focused on the best kids out there to assemble; but to amass the dedicated kids who need a means to achieve their goals on a local and national level. By building an environment for dedicated athletes to train, travel and compete all in an affordable organized fashion, GNWA can increase the level Georgia competes at ten fold.
